Brantley Lake

Brantley Lake is a reservoir located in southeastern New Mexico, about 12 miles north of Carlsbad. The lake is fed by the Pecos River and covers an area of approximately 4,000 acres. It was created in the 1980s as part of a water management project, and is now a popular spot for boating, fishing, and camping. The lake is also home to a variety of wildlife, including waterfowl, bald eagles, and bass. There is a state park located on the eastern shore of the lake, offering campsites, picnic areas, boat ramps, and hiking trails.
